Financial Transparency
Bright Afghan commits to full financial transparency. All income and expenses are documented without gaps and published annually in our financial report.
The association is audited annually by an independent auditor. Results are presented to the General Assembly.
As a non-profit under § 52 AO, we are subject to tax authority oversight and must regularly demonstrate our charitable status.
Use of Funds
100% of donations go directly to our projects on the ground in Afghanistan. The association works on a volunteer basis — no personnel costs for the board.
Our funds are used in the following areas:
Education & Schools
Teacher salaries, textbooks, school buildings
Health
Medical care, equipment, medicine
Emergency Aid
Food, winter aid, disaster relief
Reconstruction
Housing, infrastructure, sustainable projects

Organizational Structure
Bright Afghan is run on a volunteer basis. The governing bodies are:
Board
Chairman: Abdul Jalil Hekmat — responsible for strategic leadership and representing the association.
General Assembly
Highest decision-making body. Meets at least once a year. Elects the board and decides on the articles of association.
Auditor
Independent review of finances. Reports annually to the General Assembly.
